Dear Laughter

Plug In Jack 2

Hi there,

Here is an mp3 created from the first rehearsals (Thursday July 3rd) we had for this song.  The tape deck it was recorded on was not constant, so the pitch changes here and there.  It's not really too bad.  I'll fix that for a future version.

NOTE on JULY 8th, 2003
I have now uploaded the corrected version of the mp3.  It's a higher sampling rate too, so it sounds better as well.           Cheers!

Here are the words as they stand.  They were adjusted (a third verse was written by me) the day after the first rehearsal (Friday July 4th, 2003).

...also note that the bridges are not sung during the recording.  I transferred most of the words (first verse and chorus) to a new sheet of paper in preparation to write a second verse.  I forgot to add the words from the bridge and so had to record this part of the song as 'instrumental'.  (Just to clear up any confusion).

Dear Laughter

Verse 1 - It's been coming a long time,

And you know that I care.

I've got something to tell you.

It's no secret, that I want to share.

Chorus 1 - There's a constant reminder,

In the things that we do.

I hope you know how I'm feeling.

___ ___ ___ ___ I love you.

Verse 2 - We've been through some hard times,

With an occasional tear,

and we've had lots of good times.

Oh oh, the laughter is dear.

Chorus 2 - There's a constant reminder,

In the things that we do.

I hope you know how I'm feeling.

___ ___ ___ ___ And I love you.

Bridge 1 -

(You know) It's taken this long, just to write these words.

The result is now here for you to see.

And you've got to know, that I love you so,

I'd like to find out if you still love me.

Verse 3 - The past is behind us,

And the future is near,

We'll have lots of good times.

Oh, the laughter is so dear.

Chorus 3 - There's a constant reminder,

In the things that we do.

I think you know how I'm feeling.

___ ___ ___ ___ I love you.

>solo X 2<
